翰癡(黃約翰)簡介
1951年生於香港。由1985年，先後師從 何才安，熊海， 黃靈雨， 徐子雄 ，黃孝逵，楊國芬，陳成球， 馮永基老師。 書法師從陳文傑 老師。 2003年 曾經修讀 香港大學 山水文憑課程 ，全級第二名畢業。 曾修讀中文大學新水墨課程 。
2020年入選全球500水墨大展。
入選2020北京國際美術雙年展（抗疫篇）。
作品被提名獲2020年韓國亞細亞20國美術展的最高榮譽大獎。
獲2020年馬來西亞國際美術网上評選大賽第三獎。
入選英國倫敦藝術雙年展2021。
入選馬來西亞國際美術网上評選，靜物/花卉，80強，2021。
多年來，本人曾参加多次本地及海外的畫展。包括澳門、廣州、上海、台灣、韓國、日本、英國…….等地區。2019年被香港登臺酒店Muse Gallery邀請，2020年，被香港加華畫廊邀請分別舉辦了兩次為期一個月的個人新水墨畫展，得到了各方好評。作品屢獲私人藏家及博物館收藏。本人為新墨思潮創會會長，緣畫會幹事，觀尚畫會幹事，香港美協會員及香港現代水墨畫會會員。
John-The inkmaniac (John Wong)
I was born in Hong Kong in 1951. Starting from 1985, I sat under Teachers Ho Choi On, Hong Hoi, Wong Ling Yu, Chui Tsz Hung, Wong Hao Kwai and Fung Wing Kei. I also learned Chinese calligraphy from the celebrated Teacher, Mr. Chan Man Kit. I was ranked second in Diploma Programme in Chinese Ink Painting from HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education 2003. Furthermore, i studied Modern Ink Painting Programme in the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
My work was selected in Global Ink 500 of 2020 and 2020 Beijing International Art Biennale (Anti-epidemic works).
I was nominated for 2020 Asia Art Award Grand Prix and 2020 Malaysia International Juried Art Competition, Excellent Award.
Selected for Malaysia International Juried Art Competition, Figural, Floral painting category. One of the best 80, 2021.
Selected for the London Art Biennale, 2021. .
Over the years, my artworks were presented extensively in local and overseas exhibitions. I was invited by Muse Gallery of Hotel Stage Hong Kong and Cawah Gallery to hold an one month solo exhibition in 2019 and 2020. My paintings have been collected by private collectors and galleries. I am the founding chairman of Thinkers, executive committee member of Art Image Society and Art Link Club, member of Hong Kong Mei Xie and Hong Kong Modern Ink Painting Society.
